Service Line 04
Tree & Palm Care
On this corridor a property's trees and palms are its most valuable planted assets — decades old, impossible to replace quickly, and the first thing a hurricane tests. They deserve a maintenance calendar, not an annual guess.
What the work
includes
-
Structural pruning of hardwoods
Live oaks and other canopy trees pruned for structure — young-tree training, clearance, and the selective reduction that makes a canopy survivable in wind, done to arboricultural standard.
-
Palm pruning to standard
Palms pruned to keep healthy fronds, not stripped into the over-lifted "hurricane cut" that starves the palm and invites decline. If a crew is proud of a pineapple, it's the wrong crew.
-
Hurricane preparation
Pre-season assessment of the property's inventory — what needs reduction, what needs bracing, what needs removal before the season answers the question for you.
-
Post-storm response
Clearing, standing what can be stood, and honest triage of what can't — documented for the property's insurance conversation.
-
Lethal bronzing prophylaxis
Susceptible date and sabal palms protected on an injection calendar. Lethal bronzing is untreatable once symptomatic; prevention is the only program that works.
-
Cycad & sago scale treatment
Cycad aulacaspis scale can whiten and kill a mature sago in a season. Treatment programs are scheduled, not reactive.
-
Inventory & calendar
The property's significant trees and palms inventoried, with the pruning, injection, and inspection calendar written into the contract.
On this
corridor
Lethal bronzing has moved up the Florida peninsula and is established in this corridor's counties. For communities whose entries are lined with date palms, prophylaxis is no longer optional — the disease kills faster than a replacement palm can be sourced and craned in.
The same corridor exposure that grows palms well — wind, salt, sun — is what makes pruning standards matter. Trees kept to structure ride out storms; trees topped and lion-tailed become the debris.
Scope &
pricing
Tree and palm care runs inside a maintenance contract or as a standalone program built from the inventory. Injection programs and hurricane preparation are calendar items with written scope — the property should never be deciding in June what should have been scheduled in March.
