Dennis Beltowski spent over three decades in landscaping and luxury community management at golf communities across South Florida — as the person responsible for the whole property, not one crew's slice of it.
That means writing the specifications, managing the contractors, approving the budgets, and being accountable to boards and property managers when things didn't meet standard. The communities he worked with include Old Palm Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens and Heron Bay in Coral Springs — properties where landscape quality is not incidental but central to the product the community is selling.
He now lives in the Sebastian and Vero Beach area, where he runs The Grounds Standard — maintaining communities and estates on the Treasure Coast to the standard those properties taught him.
Most landscape company owners came up on the crew side. He came up on the client's side — writing the scope, walking the property, and rejecting the work that missed it. A company built by the person who did the rejecting tolerates less.
